Abstract

Plantar fasciitis is a common musculoskeletal disorder and a leading cause of heel pain,

affecting 10–15% of the general population. Characterized by sharp, localized pain

under the heel, particularly in the morning or after prolonged standing, the condition

significantly affects daily function and quality of life. While various conservative

treatment options exist, including physical therapy, NSAIDs, and orthotic support, a

definitive and superior intervention remains unclear. Among contemporary conservative

treatments, Dry Needling (DN) and Kinesiology Taping (KT) have gained popularity for

their potential in alleviating pain and improving foot function. However, direct

comparative evidence between these modalities in treating plantar fasciitis remains

 limited.
