The severity and persistence of PMS can disrupt studies and negatively affect grades and overall academic performance. The study aimed to compare anhedonia and academic performance between medical and non-medical students who experience PMS (Premenstrual Symptoms). This study included 302 students, aged 18-26 years. 156 medical students and 146 non-medical students take part in the self-administered questionnaire. Results show that anhedonia negatively impacts the academic performance of students who experience PMS. PMS has a notable impact on grades and low academic performance. Additionally, Anhedonia negatively impacts the academic performance of medical and non-medical students, and both medical and non-medical students equally experience anhedonia with PMS.
